Help! Lake Swimming???

Hello all. I'm in desperate need of help here. My niece has a condition and cannot swim in chlorinated pools. I've, for many years, taken her to a lake near my home in Dupage County and there are literally NO lakes or ponds in Dupage county open for swimming anymore with all the construction in recent years. But, last year, they closed the lake to swimming. I remember as a kid McHenry county having a bunch of lakes my dad and I would go swimming in. But I don't remember where they are! Can anyone please help me? I'd like to find a lake in McHenry county open to swimming. Address or anything would be helpful, I've got a gps. Anyone know of any public beaches on the Chain? I am looking to have a family reunion and need picnic grounds and beach for swimming in late July early August for about 40-50 people.
