Made it out to the chain for a few hours Saturday morning. Caught several bass (largest was about 2.75 lbs.) - several shorts, and a walleye just before the bridge up in Channel. Didn't expect to see that there. Water temp was 61, with some fluctuation to 62 in areas like horseshoe. Most fish were caught on silver / black rattle traps. Also caught a couple flipping a red / black Beaver.
Some fish were "off" wood - meaning not holding tight but cruising it in the back waters - you could coax a bite, but they were fairly easy to spook.
Saw a few fish on beds, but not nearly what I would expect for this time of year. These fish were generally smaller males (did see a 3+ on / near a bed, but she ran like hell on my approach.
