Hit the water about 6am launched at BB's with water half way into the parking lot. If your going out boots will help. Water temps 74 in most spots.
Headed to the channels and current breaks to see what we could find. Started out with my partner for the day getting the first Walleye of the day. Soon after we boated a cat. Worked our butts off after that topick up a few more fish. Boated some smallies, LG mouths, Strippers, a few more Wallyes and cats.
Had to work to get the fish we did and, they didn't come easy. Saw teams of carp hunters who had a tourny going on. They looked more like Rambo invaded the lakes.
Ran into Nick and company coming out of Channle lake trolling over to Marie, looking for some skis. We fished Channle for awhile in hopes to raise the beast but no luck at all, Tryed cranks, bucktails, and even some top water and didn't even see one.
I hope the rain holds out all around so that the folks on the water get a chance to get their homes back. 3 floods in a year is a lot for them to deal with. Saw some flaming @ss flying across Marie like everything was fine. Those folks don't need any extra wave action right now so Please remember it is NO WAKE.
